Update: Library of Congress Goodman Archives

    Posted by Valerie Tate

April 14, 2016: In our earlier post we noted that there would be 4 to 5 blue print-size documents per Rock Creek Woods house model in the Library of Congress Goodman Archives.

In fact the drawing set consists of more – at least twelve for the BC-1D Starview model, for example. We will have to wait for a complete inventory, but our neighbor Motoko Lezec thinks it’s safe to say there will be more than 10 essential drawings for the 3 main unit models, and more including the fourth model, the crayon drawing and site plan.

The drawings are all architectural size, and some have duplicates in blue print.

For the BC-2U Brookview model, there are 15 drawings in the set. 6 for plans, elevations and sections, and 6 for structure. She thinks these 12 are essential. The remaining three are 2 miscellaneous and 1 for handrail design.

Hopefully we can get an inventory of the BC-3U Woodview model next. We will keep you posted!
